Processing Plant Worker

Wilcox Farms is currently seeking exceptional candidates for Temporary Part time Processing Plant Workers at its Roy, WA, location. This position performs the day to day operations of the egg plant, liquid plant or hard-boiled egg plant: loading eggs onto the machine, candling, packaging, and palletizing eggs, cleaning the plant. This position also involves loading and unloading product and supplies and moving eggs, which is done using a pallet jack or forklift.
Responsibilities:
1. Works as a member of the egg processing plant team in its daily operations.
2. Loads eggs from the houses onto the machine.
3. Candles eggs after they have been washed, checking for cracked and broken eggs.
4. Stands at the end of a conveyor and checks eggs for quality, and packages eggs into boxes, baskets, or flats.
5. Palletizes boxes of eggs and shrinkwraps them. Moves eggs to the finished cooler and may load them onto trucks.
6. Keeps a clean workspace.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Flexible in availability - able to work any day of the week as needed, including weekends
2. Able to stand for extended periods of time
3. Able to lift and move up to 30 lbs
4. Prior experience in a production setting is a plus
5. Strong communication skills
